Health insurance plans in Brevard County, Florida (2026)

I pulled every 2026 marketplace plan sold in Brevard County, Florida out of the official CMS plan file. There are 152 plans from seven carriers, and a 40 year old in Brevard pays $572 a month at full price for the benchmark silver plan. No other Florida county I track has a lower benchmark. Across all 79 counties and parishes I track in 24 states, only 15 have a lower benchmark. Below are the carriers, the plan counts, the full prices before subsidy, and what I think the numbers mean if you live in Melbourne, Palm Bay, Titusville, Cocoa or anywhere else in the county.

What it costs in Brevard County before any subsidy

These are the full monthly prices, before any premium tax credit, for the cheapest Brevard plan at each metal level. I show the sticker price because it is what your subsidy is subtracted from, and most people who enroll in Brevard pay less, often a lot less.

Monthly premium, full priceAge 21Age 40Age 60Couple, both 40Couple 40 + 2 kids
Lowest bronze$334$427$906$854$1,364
Lowest silver$438$560$1,190$1,120$1,791

Lowest gold$426$545$1,157$1,090$1,742
Lowest platinum$837$1,070$2,273$2,141$3,422

Benchmark silver is the second lowest of the 50 silver premiums listed for Brevard. The last column is two adults aged 40 plus two children.

What these numbers mean if you live in Brevard County

The gold row is the surprise in Brevard County. The cheapest gold plan for a 40 year old, $545 a month, is $15 cheaper than the cheapest silver plan at $560. That happens because Florida carriers load the cost of the extra silver discounts into silver premiums. If your income is too high for those discounts, silver is the worst value on the Brevard shelf, and a gold deductible here tops out at $3,000.

In Brevard County the benchmark is $145 above the cheapest bronze at age 40, and 20 of the other 78 counties and parishes I track have a narrower one. That gap decides whether bronze can be free, because your subsidy is the $572 benchmark minus what the government expects you to pay from your income. A 40 year old in Brevard whose expected share is $145 a month or less would pay nothing for the cheapest bronze. At 60 the Brevard gap grows to $308 and at 21 it shrinks to $114, which is why older enrollees are the ones most likely to find a $0 plan.

Compared with nearby Orange County, the Brevard benchmark is $108 lower at 40 and the cheapest bronze is $75 lower. Florida Health Care Plans sells in Brevard and not in Orange County. AmeriHealth Caritas Next, AvMed, Cigna and Molina Healthcare sell in Orange County and not in Brevard.

By network type the 152 Brevard plans break down as 94 HMO, 25 POS, 19 EPO and 14 PPO. Only 14 are PPOs, and every one of them comes from Florida Blue. If seeing specialists without a referral matters to you, that narrows the Brevard shelf to one company. 29 plans in Brevard have a $0 medical deductible (14 expanded bronze, 7 gold, 6 platinum and 2 silver). The 14 bronze ones among them still have out of pocket maximums of $9,900 to $10,600, so a $0 deductible does not mean a small bill.

Every Brevard price on this page is before subsidies, and most enrollees pay less. For a 40 year old in Brevard the premium tax credit is measured against the $572 benchmark. Estimate your own subsidy, or send me your ZIP and I will run the Brevard numbers for you.
