Health insurance plans in Orange County, Florida (2026)

I pulled every 2026 marketplace plan sold in Orange County, Florida out of the official CMS plan file. There are 208 plans from ten carriers, and a 40 year old in Orange pays $680 a month at full price for the benchmark silver plan. That puts Orange in the middle of the 20 Florida counties I track, with 8 cheaper and 11 pricier. Across all 79 counties and parishes I track in 24 states, 28 have a higher benchmark. Cigna also sells in Orange now and is leaving for 2027, so some of your neighbors have to switch plans this fall. Below are the carriers, the plan counts, the full prices before subsidy, and what I think the numbers mean if you live in Orlando, Winter Park, Apopka, Ocoee or anywhere else in the county.

Who sells marketplace plans in Orange County

No Florida county on my list has more carriers than Orange County, with ten (tied with Broward County and Seminole County). The biggest lineup in Orange belongs to Florida Blue with 68 plans, about 33 percent of everything on offer.

Leaving Orange County for 2027

Cigna sells 8 of the 208 plans in Orange County this year. Cigna is leaving the ACA individual market in every state where it sells, on and off exchange, for 2027. After that exit, nine carriers are left from the 2026 Orange lineup: Florida Blue, Ambetter Health, Molina Healthcare, Oscar, UnitedHealthcare, Health First, AvMed, Wellpoint and AmeriHealth Caritas Next. If you are enrolled with Cigna in Orange, you will get a notice this fall. If you do nothing you are moved to a replacement plan picked on price and metal level, and nothing in that process checks your doctors or prescriptions.

What it costs in Orange County before any subsidy

These are the full monthly prices, before any premium tax credit, for the cheapest Orange plan at each metal level. I show the sticker price because it is what your subsidy is subtracted from, and most people who enroll in Orange pay less, often a lot less.

Monthly premium, full priceAge 21Age 40Age 60Couple, both 40Couple 40 + 2 kids
Lowest bronze$392$501$1,065$1,003$1,603

Lowest gold$488$624$1,325$1,248$1,994
Lowest platinum$851$1,087$2,308$2,174$3,475

Benchmark silver is the second lowest of the 73 silver premiums listed for Orange. The last column is two adults aged 40 plus two children.

What these numbers mean if you live in Orange County

The gold row is the surprise in Orange County. The cheapest gold plan for a 40 year old, $624 a month, is $52 cheaper than the cheapest silver plan at $676. That happens because Florida carriers load the cost of the extra silver discounts into silver premiums. If your income is too high for those discounts, silver is the worst value on the Orange shelf, and a gold deductible here tops out at $3,050.

In Orange County the benchmark is $179 above the cheapest bronze at age 40, and 35 of the other 78 counties and parishes I track have a narrower one. That gap decides whether bronze can be free, because your subsidy is the $680 benchmark minus what the government expects you to pay from your income. A 40 year old in Orange whose expected share is $179 a month or less would pay nothing for the cheapest bronze. At 60 the Orange gap grows to $379 and at 21 it shrinks to $140, which is why older enrollees are the ones most likely to find a $0 plan.

Compared with nearby Polk County, the Orange benchmark is $19 higher at 40 and the cheapest bronze is $8 lower. AmeriHealth Caritas Next, AvMed, Cigna and Health First sell in Orange and not in Polk County.

By network type the 208 Orange plans break down as 157 HMO, 27 EPO, 14 PPO and 10 POS. Only 14 are PPOs, and every one of them comes from Florida Blue. If seeing specialists without a referral matters to you, that narrows the Orange shelf to one company. 37 plans in Orange have a $0 medical deductible (19 expanded bronze, 11 platinum and 7 gold). The 19 bronze ones among them still have out of pocket maximums of $9,900 to $10,600, so a $0 deductible does not mean a small bill.

Every Orange price on this page is before subsidies, and most enrollees pay less. For a 40 year old in Orange the premium tax credit is measured against the $680 benchmark. Estimate your own subsidy, or send me your ZIP and I will run the Orange numbers for you.
